DISCLAIMER: This review is for CARRY OUT ONLY!! I did not go to Adi's -- but I've been staying in the city for work and have placed over 10 delivery orders within the last few weeks via Uber Eats. Adi's coney is affordable with quality food, good portions, fast service, and convenient 24/7 hours. Highly recommend for inexpensive but good late-night delivery in Detroit! Adi's Coney, open 24/7, is a great resource to have in your back pocket if you're staying in one of Detroit's many "food deserts" with not much around, or safe to go to late-night. I recommend ordering delivery via Uber Eats (as some of the reviews say the location is pretty rough) and taking advantage of their excellent Buy One Get One Free deals offered on that platform. Everything we ate was good. The one exception was the grits ... but that was because they were ice cold by the time we got them. Which could have been the fault of the Uber delivery driver, and not the restaurant. The menu hi-lights are their 2-4-1 FULL SIZE Cheeseburgers. Probably ate at least 20 of these over the last month. These are like a homemade whopper -- full size. Thinner handmade Patty of real beef. Topped with ample cheese, a surprisingly tasty tomato, lettuce and (strong!) white onions. It's delicious and filling. We regularly ordered a bag of 4 Cheeseburgers for $10. That's $2.50 per full sized cheeseburger! It worked for our budget. And it's plenty of food for 2 adults to eat for lunch, and again for dinner. We supplemented that with their EPIC breakfast deals ... just order the children's hash brown meal ... for less than $4 you get hash browns, an egg, bacon, toast with jelly, and a drink! It's such a good value. Add on an extra egg or two for $1 each. And you have a full-on homemade breakfast with a drink, delivered, for about $5-$6. Their prices on their breakfast sides and kids menu are excellent and can't be beat. Fun bonus -- the kids menu here says it's for everyone. I love this. Their menu says "for adults and kids of any size". I think this is super cool and appreciate being able to order a kiddie-size meal without feeling guilty. The best part is that their kids meals aren't super small, either. We also tried the BOGO coney dogs. They were excellent too. They come LOADED with coney sauce -- which I would call it "chili style" rather than coney-style sauce. Their coneys are topped with a ground-beef chili and not the usual "Detroit style" chili topping. Adi's Coney uses a more substantial and "homemade" type chili, with large chunks of ground beef in a brown sauce that is spiced differently than traditional Detroit style coney sauce. Their sauce is not as liquidy, and the beef is not ground as fine, and it doesn't feature cumin as the main spice. Instead, you get a thick And hearty chili-type sauce (not spicy) loaded high atop a tasty hot dog and bun. They sprinkle very strong white onions on top. And a nice accent of mustard, as is proper. Important to not for delivery: if you ask, they will include utensils, napkins, ketchup, jelly, butter, salt and pepper. They do not have to-go syrup or mustard. Overall, I highly recommend Adi's Coney FOR DELIVERY if you're looking for tasty food and large portions 24/7 in Detroit.
